- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually combine with the wet mixture until just blended.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For best results, do not overmix the batter.
- Store brownies in an airtight container for up to a week.
