Description
Deliciously crispy air fryer french fries made from fresh russet potatoes.
Ingredients

- 3 large russet potatoes
- 1½ tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Wash and scrub the russet potatoes. Peel if desired, and cut into ¼-inch thick sticks.
- Soak cut fries in a large bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to remove starch.
- Drain and thoroughly pat dry using clean kitchen towels or paper towels.
- Toss dried fries in olive oil and desired seasonings until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket — do not overcrowd.
- Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through for even cooking.
- Once golden and crispy, remove and season with additional salt if needed.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
Notes
- Make sure to dry the fries thoroughly after soaking to ensure they become crispy.
