Description

Deliciously crispy air fryer french fries made from fresh russet potatoes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes
  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub the russet potatoes. Peel if desired, and cut into ¼-inch thick sticks.
  2. Soak cut fries in a large bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to remove starch.
  3. Drain and thoroughly pat dry using clean kitchen towels or paper towels.
  4. Toss dried fries in olive oil and desired seasonings until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket — do not overcrowd.
  7. Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Once golden and crispy, remove and season with additional salt if needed.
  9. Serve immediately for best texture.

Notes

  • Make sure to dry the fries thoroughly after soaking to ensure they become crispy.
  • Experiment with different seasonings for various flavors.
