- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in honey, lemon zest, vanilla extract, and lavender.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined.
- Divide the batter between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown; a toothpick inserted should come out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
