Description

Delicious homemade cheeseburgers with juicy beef patties, melted cheese, and fresh toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 4 soft brioche or potato burger buns
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • to taste toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients on a clean surface.
  2. Shape about two ounces of ground beef into loose balls and place them on parchment paper.
  3. Preheat your skillet or grill over medium-high heat until very hot.
  4. Place the meatballs on the hot surface and press down firmly with a spatula to flatten them to about half an inch thick. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. After about two minutes, add a slice of cheese on each patty and cover for one minute to melt.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing patties on toasted buns and adding your desired toppings.

Notes

  • Ensure the grill or skillet is hot enough to achieve a nice sear on the patties.
