A delicious almond croissant bake that’s perfect for brunch or dessert.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 croissants
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add the egg, almond extract, vanilla extract, and salt, then mix until smooth.
- Stir in the almond flour and all-purpose flour until a thick, creamy filling forms.
- Slice each croissant in half lengthwise and spread almond filling generously inside.
- Spread a thin layer of filling on top of each croissant and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Arrange the filled croissants on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the filling is set and the tops are lightly golden.
- Let them cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm for the best flavor.
- These are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days.
