Description

A delicious grilled cheese sandwich with a twist of fresh blackberries and balsamic vinegar.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices Bread (Sourdough or your choice)
  • 8 oz Cheese (Sharp cheddar or brie)
  • 1 cup Blackberries (Fresh)
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Butter (Softened for spreading)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the blackberries and balsamic vinegar. Let sit for 5 minutes to marinate.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side, layer cheese, marinated blackberries, and more cheese. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden brown.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
