Description

Delicious chocolate cherry bars made with dark and white chocolate, perfect for a sweet treat!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, divided
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup maraschino cherries, halved and patted dry
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang. Lightly grease it.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chunks, 1/2 of the sweetened condensed milk, and 1 tablespoon butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into pan and spread evenly.
  3. In another bowl, melt white chocolate chips with remaining sweetened condensed milk and 1 tablespoon butter. Stir until smooth. Fold in halved cherries.
  4. Gently pour white chocolate cherry mixture over the chilled dark chocolate layer.
  5. While warm, sprinkle chocolate chips on top and lightly press them in.
  6. Chill for at least 3 hours or until firm.
  7. Remove from pan using parchment overhang and cut into squares with a sharp knife.
