Description
A light and fluffy angel food cake made with crushed pineapple, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 12 large egg whites
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pineapple and sugar, mixing well until sugar dissolves.
- In another bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the pineapple mixture into the egg whites.
- Add all-purpose flour and vanilla extract and fold until just combined.
- Pour the batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cake is golden brown.
- Let it cool inverted on a rack for about 1 hour before removing from the pan.

- This cake is best served chilled and can be topped with whipped cream or fresh fruit.
