Description

Delicious pretzel bombs filled with smoked brisket and served with a creamy cheese sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound halal brisket, smoked and shredded
  • 1 package premade pretzel dough (about 16 ounces)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • to taste coarse sea salt (for sprinkling)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. If you haven’t done so already, smoke your halal brisket until it’s tender and delicious. Shred it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Take a small piece of pretzel dough (about the size of a golf ball) and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of shredded brisket inside, then carefully wrap the dough around the meat and pinch to seal, forming a ball.
  4. Place each pretzel bomb on the lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  5. Bake the pretzel bombs in the preheated oven for around 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the heavy cream and stir until warmed. Gradually whisk in the shredded cheddar cheese and garlic powder, stirring until the sauce is creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove the pretzel bombs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with the creamy cheese sauce on the side for dipping.
