A rich and creamy caramel flan dessert that is perfect for any occasion.

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat until it turns a golden caramel color. Quickly pour it into the bottom of a round cake pan.
- In a blender, combine the milk, cream, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, and baking powder. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the caramel-lined cake pan.
- Place the cake pan in a larger baking dish filled with water (water bath) and bake for about 50-60 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
- To serve, run a knife around the edges of the pan and invert onto a plate.
Notes
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
- Make sure the caramel is evenly spread on the bottom of the pan to avoid burning.
